• FAMA (Folkloric Arts Mentoring Amigos)

"We hold on to a sense of value, a sense of pride, a sense in 'Believing in Ourselves' which makes us feel important".

A mentoring program for youth and their families... A sense of pride, a sense of belonging, a sense of Believing in You is what DCET wants to endorse for young students and their families. DCET is dedicated to maintain cultural traditions and values.

The FAMA Program assists Hispanic/Latino youth, ages 4 to19 and their families, in their acculturation through workshops on virtues, family values, character building, and conflict resolution to increase self-confidence and leadership skills among students.

This DCET program provides a safe drug-free after-school environment to help FAMA students express themselves by participating in it.

Through traditional ballet folklorico, FAMA students are instilled cultural pride and awareness of values. These young dancers learn how to socialize and aquire a sense of believing in themselves.
